Description
HELISTAND Set S003 is a motor-driven electric laboratory stand that enables reliable viscosity measurement of highly viscous samples. The unit slowly and evenly moves a mounted viscometer and its rotating body up and down inside the sample. Highly viscous substances such as creams, pastes, paints or gelatine often cause a statically operating viscometer to run empty. These materials are so thick that rotational forces push them outward, forming an air channel around the spindle; the resulting torque then loses analytical meaning. By applying controlled vertical motion, the HELISTAND prevents channel formation and maintains continuous contact between the measuring element and the sample. Combined with the included T-spindles intended for non-flowing samples, the system delivers meaningful viscosity data where conventional static setups fail. This complete set from manufacturer IKA is equipped with a Swiss plug and is intended for use with compatible laboratory viscometers when characterising pastes, gels and other high-viscosity media in routine and research applications.
This article is part of Rubber & silicone stoppers, in Stoppers, caps & closures.

Questions about HELISTAND Set S003, Electrical stand incl. T-spindle set with Swiss plug
What is this article?
HELISTAND Set S003, Electrical stand incl. T-spindle set with Swiss plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Rubber & silicone stoppers, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.
A rubber or silicone stopper is pushed into a mouth. The size number corresponds to a top and bottom diameter. Silicone survives higher temperatures and more autoclave cycles. Natural rubber is attacked by oils and by some solvents.
A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
Which category should I open next?
