Description

ICP-MS Multi-Element Standard Solution ROTI®Star provides twelve elements in 5 % nitric acid for calibration and quality control in inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. The certified mix contains aluminium 30 mg/l, boron 100 mg/l, calcium 50 mg/l, iron 50 mg/l, potassium 100 mg/l, magnesium 30 mg/l, manganese 10 mg/l, sodium 100 mg/l, phosphorus 100 mg/l, silicon 200 mg/l, strontium 10 mg/l, and zinc 50 mg/l. Density is approximately 1 g/cm³ and the boiling point exceeds 83 °C. The solution is supplied in a 100 ml pack sized for analytical laboratories running multi-element ICP-MS methods. Composition and physical data from manufacturer Carl ROTH support reproducible instrument calibration across environmental, materials, and routine elemental analysis workflows. UN number 3264 reflects the acidic matrix for correct handling and transport classification. This multi-element standard streamlines daily setup by combining common analytes in a single nitric acid matrix ready for dilution according to laboratory protocols.

Questions about ICP-MS Multi-Element Standard Solution, ROTI®Star 12 elements in 5 % HNO3

What is this article?

ICP-MS Multi-Element Standard Solution, ROTI®Star 12 elements in 5 % HNO3 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in ICP, AAS & ion standards, inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Lab chemicals.

An ICP, AAS or ion standard is a solution of a stated element or ion at a stated concentration, with an uncertainty. It is the calibration point of a spectrometer or an electrode. The matrix, often dilute acid, has to match the method. A standard past its expiry is not that concentration.

A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
