Description

ICP Multi-Element Standard Solution CR-68 is a ROTI®Star multi-element standard with nine elements prepared in 5 %. HNO3 for use in atomic spectroscopy calibration. Concentrations are given as calcium 2500 mg/l, copper 100 mg/l, iron 250 mg/l, potassium 200 mg/l, magnesium 500 mg/l, manganese 100 mg/l, sodium 2500 mg/l, phosphorus 150 mg/l and zinc 250 mg/l, forming a distinct multi-element profile for ICP-OES applications. The solution has a density of about 1 g/cm³ and a boiling point of 83 °C, reflecting the dilute nitric acid carrier. This CR-68 preparation is available from manufacturer Carl ROTH in the ROTI®Star line of multi-element standards for ICP-OES. Laboratories that specify a 5 %. HNO3 matrix can apply the listed analyte levels directly when building calibration curves or preparing independent check standards for the nine elements covered by this formulation.

This article is part of ICP, AAS & ion standards, in Analytical standards & reference materials.

Questions about ICP Multi-Element Standard Sol. CR-68, ROTI®Star 9 elements in 5 % HNO3, 100 ml

What is this article?

ICP Multi-Element Standard Sol. CR-68, ROTI®Star 9 elements in 5 % HNO3, 100 ml is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in ICP, AAS & ion standards, inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Lab chemicals.

An ICP, AAS or ion standard is a solution of a stated element or ion at a stated concentration, with an uncertainty. It is the calibration point of a spectrometer or an electrode. The matrix, often dilute acid, has to match the method. A standard past its expiry is not that concentration.

A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
