Description

ICP Multi-Element Standard Solution CR-71 is a ROTI®Star multi-element standard prepared for atomic spectroscopy applications such as ICP-OES. Fourteen elements are combined in a mixed acid matrix of 2 % HNO3 plus 2 % HCl at defined concentrations: As 10 mg/l, Ba 50 mg/l, Cd 1 mg/l, Co 10 mg/l, Cr 10 mg/l, Cu 10 mg/l, Hg 1 mg/l, Ni 10 mg/l, Pb 10 mg/l, Sb 10 mg/l, Se 10 mg/l, Tl 1 mg/l, V 10 mg/l and Zn 50 mg/l. The solution is supplied in a 100 ml pack, has a density of approximately 1 g/cm³ and a boiling point of 100 °C. This composition suits multi-element calibration and quality control where both nitric and hydrochloric acid are needed to keep the full element set in solution. From manufacturer Carl ROTH, the CR-71 ROTI®Star standard supports environmental, industrial and research laboratories performing simultaneous determination of selected metals and metalloids. It is assigned UN number 3264 and is intended for establishing calibration curves and verifying method performance across the listed analytes in routine ICP workflows.

Questions about ICP Multi-Element Standard Sol. CR-71

What is this article?

ICP Multi-Element Standard Sol. CR-71 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in ICP, AAS & ion standards, inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Lab chemicals.

An ICP, AAS or ion standard is a solution of a stated element or ion at a stated concentration, with an uncertainty. It is the calibration point of a spectrometer or an electrode. The matrix, often dilute acid, has to match the method. A standard past its expiry is not that concentration.

A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
