Description
Industrial scale ADAM Series LBX, 12 kg x 2 g is a compact bench platform balance for industrial and laboratory weighing tasks that need 12 kg capacity with 2 g readability. Built-in applications cover standard weighing, piece counting, percentage calculation and checkweighing, supported by a backlit LCD display and brown, green and red LED indicators that show whether a sample lies below, within or above a defined target range. Stabilisation is specified at 1 s for rapid throughput on the bench. The instrument combines an ABS housing with a stainless-steel weighing pan and non-slip feet, and can be powered from an AC adapter or an internal rechargeable battery offering up to 240 hours of operation, rechargeable via USB cable or mains. External calibration is supported. External dimensions are 255 × 290 × 105 mm and net weight is 2,500 kg. This industrial scale from manufacturer Labbox (ADAM Series LBX) is supplied with a manual; a manufacturer calibration certificate may be ordered optionally together with the balance. A three-year manufacturer warranty is stated for the unit.

What is this article?
Industrial scale, ADAM, LBX series, 12 kg x 2 g, EU plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Bench, platform & industrial scales, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A bench, platform or industrial scale takes kilograms to tonnes, with a platform instead of a small pan. Resolution is coarser. The load cell and the platform size are the specification. It is the scale for a drum or a packed goods check, not for a milligram of standard.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
