IO R 2.10 variable test tube rack is an adjustable sample-vessel holder for orbital and horizontal shakers as well as incubator shaking platforms. It mounts on all IKA circular and horizontal shakers in combination with AS clamp attachments and on the SP shaking platforms of the INC 125 FS incubator series. Depending on vessel diameter, the rack accommodates up to 60 sample vessels. An innovative spring fixation covers a continuous diameter range from 8 to 30 mm, while lateral buttons allow quick adjustment of the shaking angle so that the gas-accessible surface of the samples can be set as required. The sample holder can be released rapidly from the base via the same buttons for convenient transfer to the laboratory bench. Manufactured from stainless steel by IKA, the rack offers durable corrosion resistance in routine laboratory use. Capacity examples include 60 vessels at 8–11 mm, 40 at 12–15 mm, 28 at 15–18 mm, 20 at 18–21 mm, 15 at 22–26 mm and 8 at 26–30 mm diameter. Platform loading guidance covers AS 130.2 (1 rack), AS 260.2 (2 racks), AS 501.4 and AS 4000.2 (4 racks each), and SP 20 / SP 25 (3 racks).
