Description

Ceramic chamber furnace SNOL 4/900 LSC01 is a high-precision electric laboratory furnace with a 4 l useful chamber volume and a maximum temperature of 900 °C. It is intended for hardening, solution annealing, normalising and other thermal processing routines in scientific laboratories, educational facilities, medical environments and industrial settings. The solid ceramic chamber is heated by elements mounted in four walls; a ceramic hearth plate protects the floor. Temperature is controlled by a microprocessor controller (Omron E5CC base model), delivering temperature stability of ±2 °C and uniformity of ±10 °C at nominal temperature after stabilisation without load. Maximum heat-up time without charge is 100 min. The side-opening door incorporates a safety switch, and the control panel is located in the lower section of the unit. External dimensions are 440 × 555 × 500 mm; chamber dimensions are 120 × 295 × 110 mm (W × D × H). Rated power is 3,7 kW at 230 V / 50 Hz single-phase; protection class is IP20. Net weight is 55 kg (gross 70 kg). An optional exhaust chimney can be fitted to remove process gases. This furnace from manufacturer SnolTherm combines low power consumption with high-temperature resistance and accurate control for routine thermal work up to 900 °C.

This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Keramik - Kammerofen 4 L 900°C

What is this article?

Keramik - Kammerofen 4 L 900°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes SnolTherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
