Description
LabHEAT® housing heating mantle KM-ME is designed for 5000 ml round-bottom flasks with a diameter of 223 mm. A flexible glass-silk heating element sits inside a plastic-coated, chemically resistant metal housing that protects the heater during everyday laboratory use. Built-in mains and heating-zone switches together with an integrated controller allow individual power adjustment across two heating zones. Rated power is 860 W at 230 V AC, and the maximum heating-element temperature is 450 °C. The unit includes a 1,5 m mains lead with Schuko plug and residual-current protective switch for safer bench connection. This mantle from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik supports controlled heating of large round-bottom flasks in synthesis, distillation and sample-preparation work. The robust outer jacket resists common laboratory chemicals while keeping the heating fabric securely enclosed. Supplied as one piece, it offers laboratories a self-contained solution for zone-selectable heating of five-litre glassware without relying on a separate external controller as standard.

Questions about LabHEAT® Metal-cased heating mantle KM-ME, 5000 ml, 860 W / 230 V
What is this article?
LabHEAT® Metal-cased heating mantle KM-ME, 5000 ml, 860 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
