Description

LabHEAT® Standard heating mantle KM-GH is a laboratory heating mantle for 2000 ml round-bottom flasks with a diameter of 166 mm. The flexible heating body is made from heat-resistant quartz glass yarn to support higher power and temperature demands, while the outer mantle of glass silk includes a bottom hole of Ø 60 mm for practical flask access. Rated power is 1200 W across two heating zones, with a maximum heating conductor temperature of 900 °C and a nominal voltage of 230 V AC. Electrical connection is via a 1,5 m mains lead with Schuko plug, together with a heating-zone switch and personal protection switch. Net weight is 2,2 kg (gross weight 3,0 kg). This KM-GH model from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik is intended for controlled heating of round-bottom flasks in chemical synthesis, distillation and general laboratory work where zone-selectable textile heating and a durable glass-silk exterior are required. Supplied as one piece for bench use with standard European mains supply.

Questions about LabHEAT® Standard heating mantle KM-GH, 2000 ml, 1200 W / 230 V

What is this article?

LabHEAT® Standard heating mantle KM-GH, 2000 ml, 1200 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
