Description

LR 1000 control System is a modular, expandable laboratory reactor designed for optimising chemical reaction processes as well as mixing, dispersing and homogenising on the laboratory scale, particularly in cosmetics and pharmaceutical work. The system from manufacturer IKA can be adapted quickly and without effort to specific applications and user requirements. Product-contact materials comprise stainless steel (AlSi 316 L), FFKM, PTFE, PEEK and borosilicate glass 3.1. A large, clearly readable TFT display with intuitive menu navigation supports operation, while integrated connections for pH and temperature sensors plus RS 232 and USB interfaces enable process data display and storage on a PC; labworldsoft® software (accessory) allows full PC control. Medium heating via the vessel base reaches a maximum of 120 °C, monitored by an included PT 100.30 temperature sensor with LR 1000.62 lid holder. Further features include torque-trend measurement for viscosity changes, an integrated weighing function, a cooling control valve connection for programmable cooling, vacuum stopcock, lid ports (2 × NS 29, 2 × NS 14, 2 × GL 14) and safety shut-off when vessel or lid is removed. Supplied as 1 pc.

This article is part of Laboratory glass thermometers, in Temperature measurement.

Questions about LR 1000 control System, Laboratory reactor

What is this article?

LR 1000 control System, Laboratory reactor is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Laboratory glass thermometers, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.

A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column, often with a stated immersion depth, total or partial. The range and the division decide the reading. A partial-immersion thermometer read at the wrong depth is wrong by design.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
