Description

LT 5.26 200C shut-off nipple is a stainless-steel coupling accessory for connecting temperature-control hoses in laboratory reactor and thermostatting systems. It provides an M 16x1 male thread and a DN 9 coupling cross-section, sealed with FKM, and is rated for continuous use up to 200 °C. The nipple accepts temperature-control hoses fitted with M16x1 union nuts, including types LT 5.30, LT 5.31, LT 5.32 and H.FKM.12, enabling secure high-temperature fluid links in jacketed vessels and process loops. Supplied as a single piece from manufacturer IKA, the unit has a net weight of 0,120 kg and is intended for professional laboratory temperature-management workflows. The matching coupling counterpart LT 5.25 200C on the reactor side must be ordered separately to complete the connection. Stainless-steel construction combined with the FKM seal supports reliable performance under elevated thermal load while maintaining chemical resistance typical of laboratory media circuits. Compact geometry allows straightforward integration into existing hose assemblies without compromising flow-path integrity or seal function at high temperature.

Questions about LT 5.26 200C, Lock adapter 200 °C

What is this article?

LT 5.26 200C, Lock adapter 200 °C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
