Description
Macro cuvette type 100-OS is a precision spectroscopy cell in optical special glass covering the 320 nm to 2500 nm wavelength range. With a short 2 mm path length and a nominal fill volume of 700 µl (0,0007 l), closed by a glass lid, it is suited to smaller sample aliquots on standard spectrophotometers. Selected optical special glass gives excellent transmission greater than 80 %, enabling exact measurement results. Hellma® precision cuvettes are manufactured entirely in Germany and are thermally bonded rather than glued, providing high resistance to temperature and chemicals and reducing the risk of leakage. Controlled path-length tolerance and window parallelism deliver continuously reproducible readings. Bevelled edges support safe, comfortable handling and help minimise chipping. The reusable design can be cleaned and kept in long-term service as a durable laboratory option. Cells are produced according to EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 and fulfil high optical standards for routine and research spectroscopy applications.

Questions about macro cell, 100
What is this article?
macro cell, 100 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.
A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
