Description
Macro cuvette type 100-QX is a precision spectroscopy cell manufactured from Extended Range quartz glass for use across the wavelength range 200 nm to 3500 nm. It offers a path length of 2 mm, a fill volume of 700 µl and a glass fold lid, with transmission greater than 83 % to support exact photometric readings. Hellma precision cuvettes are produced entirely in Germany and fit all common spectrophotometers. Tight control of path-length accuracy and window parallelism underpins continuously reproducible results. The cells are thermally bonded rather than glued, which confers high resistance to temperature and chemicals and helps prevent unintended leakage of sample liquids. Selected Extended Range quartz glasses deliver excellent optical transmission, while bevelled edges enable safe, comfortable handling and reduce the risk of chipping. Designed for repeated cleaning and reuse, these cuvettes provide a durable, sustainable option for routine and research spectroscopy. Manufacture follows EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 and meets demanding optical standards for laboratory work.

Questions about macro cell, 100
What is this article?
macro cell, 100 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.
A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
