Description
Macro cuvette type 100-QS is a precision spectroscopy cell made from high-performance quartz glass for the wavelength range 200 nm to 2500 nm. With a 50 mm path length, PTFE fold lid and nominal fill volume of 0,0175 l (17,500 µl), it supports accurate UV-Vis and near-infrared measurements on standard spectrophotometers. Hellma precision cuvettes are manufactured entirely in Germany and are thermally bonded, not glued, giving strong resistance to temperature and chemicals while reducing the risk of leakage. Selected high-performance quartz glasses provide excellent transmission above 82 % for exact analytical results. Beveled edges enable safe, comfortable handling and help limit chipping. The reusable design allows thorough cleaning and long-term laboratory use as a sustainable alternative to disposable cells. Type 100-QS SD carries the SUPRASIL® grade designation and is produced under EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001, combining path-length accuracy and parallelism for continuously reproducible spectroscopy data across the ultraviolet to near-infrared range.

Questions about macro cell, 100
What is this article?
macro cell, 100 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.
A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
