Description
Macro cuvette pair type 101-QS consists of matched High Performance quartz glass cells for spectrophotometry over the wavelength range from 200 nm to 2500 nm. Each cell provides a 10 × 10 mm path length, a fill volume of 3500 µl and a PTFE fold-over lid, with excellent transmission above 82 % for accurate readings. The pair is spectrally measured, assembled for equal transmission and marked with an engraved transmission code, giving comparable conditions in dual-beam photometers. Hellma® precision cuvettes from manufacturer Hellma (IDL) are produced entirely in Germany and fit all common spectrophotometers. Thermal bonding instead of adhesive joining yields high resistance to temperature and chemicals and helps stop unwanted escape of liquids. Bevelled edges enable safe, pleasant handling and minimise chipping. High path-length accuracy and parallelism support continuously reproducible results. The cells can be cleaned and reused as a durable laboratory option. Manufacture according to EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 meets high optical standards. Supplied as one matched pair for applications that demand well-matched sample and reference channels.

Questions about macro cell, 101
What is this article?
macro cell, 101 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.
A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
