Description
Macro cuvette pair type 110-QS comprises matched High Performance quartz glass cells for spectroscopy over 200 nm to 2500 nm. Each cell has a 10 mm path length, a PTFE stopper and a nominal fill volume of 3,5 ml (3,500 µl). The pair is spectrally measured, assembled for equal transmission and marked with an engraved transmission code, supporting comparable conditions in dual-beam photometers. Selected High Performance quartz provides excellent transmission above 82 % for precise photometric work. These Hellma precision cuvettes are made entirely in Germany and suit all common spectrophotometers. Thermal bonding instead of adhesive joining yields strong resistance to temperature and chemicals and reduces the chance of leakage. High path-length accuracy and parallelism underpin reproducible results from measurement to measurement. Bevelled edges aid safe handling and help minimise chipping. The durable construction allows thorough cleaning and repeated use as a sustainable laboratory option. Manufacturing is carried out under EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001, meeting high optical standards, with further certificates available on request.

Questions about macro cell, 110
What is this article?
macro cell, 110 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.
A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
