Description
Porcelain crucible Premium Line, low form, 500 ml is a larger laboratory ceramic vessel intended for heating, ignition and bulk thermal sample work. Fabricated from high-quality porcelain and temperature-resistant up to 1150 °C, it supports ashing, calcination and related high-temperature procedures in analytical and preparative settings. The crucible is glazed inside and outside, apart from the rim and the underside of the base, combining a smooth working surface with secure standing during furnace or hotplate use. Lids are not included. Low-form design simplifies filling, mixing and recovery of residues and is convenient when multiple larger samples are processed side by side. Supplied in a pack of six pieces from manufacturer Labbox, the set is practical for laboratories that regularly stock porcelain crucibles in the 500 ml class. Pack net weight is 1,365 kg. These Premium Line vessels offer heat-stable porcelain capacity for routine thermal workflows without requiring matching lids.

Questions about Melting crucible low form, porcelain, Premium Line, 500 ml, 6 pcs
What is this article?
Melting crucible low form, porcelain, Premium Line, 500 ml, 6 pcs is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Crucibles, inside Dishes, crucibles & porcelain, in Labware.
A crucible holds a sample in a furnace or over a flame, at temperatures that would soften a borosilicate beaker. Porcelain, platinum and glazed ceramic are different articles. The form, tall or wide, decides how fast a sample dries or ashes.
A dish is an open vessel for drying, evaporating or holding a solid. Porcelain and glazed ceramic take a higher temperature than borosilicate glass, which is why a crucible, not a beaker, goes into a furnace. A watch glass covers, or holds a small amount for drying. A mortar is for grinding. The temperature and the chemical, not the shape alone, choose the material. Laboratory ware of this family is listed under ISO laboratory ware.
