Description

Memosens COS81E hygienic oxygen sensor is an optical oxygen sensor designed for hygienic applications that place high demands on sterility and measurement reliability. Its well-matched measuring system prevents ageing of the optical spot and delivers precise, stable oxygen readings over long periods, supporting consistently high product quality. With digital Memosens 2.0 technology, the sensor provides extended data storage and forms an ideal basis for predictive maintenance and efficient process operation. This 220 mm long, 12 mm diameter unit from manufacturer Endress+Hauser measures oxygen in fermentation and other hygienic processes, covering the full range from laboratory work to production scale. An integrated PT-1000 temperature sensor, digital sensor signal, plug-in head connection and automatic sensor identification simplify handling and system integration. The probe is autoclavable up to 135 °C, has a net weight of 0,13 kg and is offered as one piece for laboratory and process environments.

This article is part of Dissolved oxygen & multiparameter meters, in pH & electrochemistry.

Questions about Memosens COS81E hygenic oxygen sensor, 220 mm

What is this article?

Memosens COS81E hygenic oxygen sensor, 220 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Endress+Hauser for laboratory use. It sits in Dissolved oxygen & multiparameter meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A dissolved-oxygen meter reads oxygen in a liquid, optically or with a Clark cell. A multiparameter meter adds pH, conductivity or both on one instrument. The sensor cap or the membrane is the consumable. A reading in air and a reading in water are different calibrations.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
