Description

Cover glasses for microscopy 24 mm Ø, No. 1,5H are precision round coverslips with a defined thickness of 0,170 ± 0,005 mm, intended for high-performance microscopy. Made from chemically resistant borosilicate glass D 263® M of the first hydrolytic class, they provide excellent optical properties and chemical durability for laboratory and diagnostic use. The products are suitable for applications conforming to EU Regulation 2017/746 for in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR) and are supplied with CE marking plus batch numbering for comprehensive identification and traceability. From manufacturer Marienfeld, each carton holds 1,000 pieces packed 100 per hinged box; large bulk packs of up to 75,000 pieces are available. The 24 mm diameter offers generous coverage for tissue sections, cell cultures and multi-field imaging. Controlled thickness and premium borosilicate glass support stable focus and high-resolution imaging with oil-immersion and high-numerical-aperture objectives in research and routine diagnostics.

Questions about Microscope cover glasses 24 mm Ø, No. 1.5H

What is this article?

Microscope cover glasses 24 mm Ø, No. 1.5H is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
