Description

HistoBond® SX adhesive microscope slides provide dependable attachment of tissue sections on specially prepared adhesive surfaces. Made from soda-lime glass of the third hydrolytic class, these larger-format slides measure 76 × 51 mm with a thickness of approximately 1 mm. Edges are ground at 90° and a 20 mm frosted marking area is present on both sides to facilitate labelling and orientation during processing. The slides are intended for applications in accordance with EU Regulation 2017/746 for in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR); they bear the CE mark along with a recommended use-by date and batch number for full information and traceability. Supplied 50 pieces per cardboard box with 45 boxes per carton (minimum order quantity), the pack configuration supports efficient laboratory stocking. HistoBond® SX slides from manufacturer Marienfeld are suited to histology and pathology work requiring a wider slide format while retaining the adhesive surface performance, edge quality and documentation features needed for controlled diagnostic section mounting.

Questions about Microscope slides HistoBond®SX, 76x51 mm

What is this article?

Microscope slides HistoBond®SX, 76x51 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
