Description

UniMark® green microscope slides are laboratory glass slides fitted with a green marking field for secure specimen identification under the microscope. Sized at approximately 76 × 26 × 1 mm, they incorporate 90° ground edges, ground corners and a 45° bevel to support safe handling and stable cover-slip mounting. Suitable for applications conforming to EU Regulation 2017/746 on in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR), each slide is CE-marked and carries a recommended use-by date plus batch number, enabling full information and lot traceability. From manufacturer Marienfeld, the slides are packed in boxes of 50 pieces, with 2,500 pieces per outer carton; the outer carton is sealed in a waterproof aluminium bag for moisture protection during storage and shipping. The coloured writing zone accepts pencil or permanent ink without interfering with the viewing area. These UniMark® slides suit histology, cytology and general diagnostic workflows that demand uniform dimensions, clean edges and documented regulatory compliance.

Questions about Microscope slides UniMark® green, ground edges

What is this article?

Microscope slides UniMark® green, ground edges is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
