Description

Microscope slides with reaction fields provide eight circular reaction areas of 6 mm diameter together with a red colour mask and a one-sided frosted edge of 20 mm. These slides support applications in accordance with EU Regulation 2017/746 for in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR). Each slide carries the CE mark, a recommended expiry date and a batch number to ensure full information and traceability. Packed in boxes of 50 pieces, the slides are manufactured to order by Marienfeld because of the wide range of available masks and the limited shelf life of the product; customers therefore always receive freshly produced glass. The minimum order quantity is 200 pieces. For technical reasons the quantity actually produced may differ slightly from the quantity ordered; any shortfall or excess must be accepted. The combination of defined reaction fields, clear colour coding and frosted marking edge makes these slides suitable for organised multi-sample work in diagnostic and research laboratories that require IVDR-compliant consumables.

This article is part of Microscope slides & cover glasses, in Microscopy & histology.

Questions about Microscope slides with reaction wells

What is this article?

Microscope slides with reaction wells is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
