Description
Mineral-insulated heating cable MIL-HC-INC supplies dependable high-temperature heating for laboratory vessels, process lines and container systems. Measuring 15,5 m in length, the cable provides a nominal power of 3100 W at 230 V AC and is protected by an Inconel outer sheath (material 2.4816). Waterproof design and protective earthing ensure operational safety under demanding conditions. Diameter varies between 3,2 mm and 6,5 mm, with a bending radius greater than 5 × Ø for convenient installation. The heating conductor withstands temperatures up to 1000 °C. Laser-welded transitions connect the heated zone to two 0,5 m cold leads, terminated by 150 mm flexible connection strand and an M20 × 1,5 screw fitting. Offered as one piece by manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik, this mineral-insulated cable is ideal for heating bandages, heating tapes and vessel heating where durability and precise thermal performance are required. Alternative lengths and power ratings remain available on request.

What is this article?
Mineral insulated heating cable MIL-HC-INC, 15,5 m, 3100 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating tapes, cables & plates, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating tape or cable wraps a tube, a valve or a vessel that has no mantle. Power per length and the maximum temperature are the specification. A tape overlapped on itself overheats. It needs a controller. Plugged straight in, it does not hold a set point.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
