Description

Muffle furnace L5/13/C550 is a laboratory muffle furnace for a maximum working temperature of 1300 °C. Heating elements on support tubes radiate freely into the chamber, giving particularly short heating times and a long service life. Robust multi-layer insulation with lightweight refractory bricks supports this elevated temperature range and makes the model a practical alternative to familiar L(T)./12 units when higher application temperatures are needed. Heat is applied from two sides inside a dual-shell ventilated housing of textured stainless steel sheets, which keeps outer surfaces cooler while preserving high stability. The flap door can be used as a work platform; an adjustable air inlet is integrated in the door and an exhaust air outlet is located in the rear wall. The touch-operated C550 controller handles process programs, and solid-state relays provide low-noise operation. NTLog Basic enables process data recording with a USB flash drive. This Nabertherm configuration includes a temperature selector limiter and is offered as one complete unit for defined laboratory use within the operating instructions.

What is this article?

Muffle Furnace L5/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and over-temperature limiter a is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Nabertherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
