Description

Muffle furnace L5/13/C550 Tmax1300 is a laboratory muffle furnace built for a maximum working temperature of 1300 °C. Freely radiating heating elements on support tubes deliver short heating times and favour a long service life inside the chamber. Robust multi-layer insulation with lightweight refractory bricks supports the elevated temperature capability, offering a practical alternative to the well-known L(T)./12 models when higher application temperatures are required. The furnace heats from two sides and uses a dual-shell ventilated housing of textured stainless steel sheets for low surface temperature and high mechanical stability. A flap door that can serve as a work platform, an adjustable air inlet in the door and an exhaust air outlet in the rear wall form part of the standard layout. This configuration is equipped with a temperature selector limiter. Touch-operated B510 control provides five programs with four segments each; solid-state relays enable low-noise switching. NTLog Basic allows process data recording with a USB flash drive. Supplied as one complete unit from manufacturer Nabertherm for defined use within the operating instructions.

This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Muffle Furnace L5/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and over-temperature limiter

What is this article?

Muffle Furnace L5/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and over-temperature limiter is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Nabertherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
