Description

The muffle furnace L5/13/C550 is a laboratory muffle furnace rated for a maximum working temperature of 1300 °C. Heating elements mounted on support tubes radiate freely into the furnace chamber, enabling particularly short heating times and extended element life. Robust multi-layer insulation with lightweight refractory bricks allows this higher temperature capability and positions the series as an alternative to standard L(T)./12 models when elevated application temperatures are required.

This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Heating is provided from two sides. A dual-shell ventilated housing of textured stainless steel keeps surface temperatures low and contributes to mechanical stability. The flap door can serve as a work platform, with an adjustable air inlet in the door and an exhaust air outlet in the rear wall. This configuration is equipped with a protective gas connection and temperature monitoring provision as indicated for the variant. Touch operation via the C550 controller, solid-state relays for low-noise switching, and NTLog Basic process-data recording with a USB flash drive complete the standard control concept. One unit from manufacturer Nabertherm for defined use within the operating instructions.

Questions about Muffle Furnace L5/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and protective gas connection,

What is this article?

Muffle Furnace L5/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and protective gas connection, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Nabertherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
