Description

Muffle furnace L9/13/B510 is a laboratory muffle furnace for demanding thermal work up to a maximum working temperature of 1300 °C, fitted with a flap door and thermocouple feed-through. Heating elements mounted on support tubes radiate freely into the furnace chamber, giving particularly short heating times and a long service life, with energy input from two sides. Multi-layer insulation with robust lightweight refractory bricks enables the higher temperature capability and positions the unit as an interesting alternative to the well-known L(T)./12 series when greater application temperatures are required. The dual-shell ventilated housing made from textured stainless steel sheets keeps surface temperatures low and supports high stability in daily laboratory use. The flap door can be used as a work platform; an adjustable air inlet in the door and an exhaust air outlet in the rear wall facilitate controlled air exchange. Operation is managed via the touch-operated B510 controller (5 programs with 4 segments each), solid-state relays provide low-noise performance, and NTLog Basic records process data with a USB flash drive. Supplied as 1 pc from manufacturer Nabertherm for use within the stated operating instructions.

This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Muffle Furnace L9/13/B510 Tmax1300 with flap door and thermocouple hole in the f

What is this article?

Muffle Furnace L9/13/B510 Tmax1300 with flap door and thermocouple hole in the f is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Nabertherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
