Description

Muffle furnace L9/13/B510 is a laboratory muffle furnace engineered for a maximum working temperature of 1300 °C. Heating elements mounted on support tubes radiate freely into the furnace chamber, enabling particularly short heating times and a long service life. Thanks to multi-layer insulation with robust lightweight refractory bricks, the unit reaches higher working temperatures than the familiar L(T)./12 series and serves as a strong alternative when those limits are insufficient.

This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Standard layout includes two-sided heating, a dual-shell ventilated housing of textured stainless steel for low external temperature and high stability, an adjustable air inlet in the furnace door, and an exhaust air outlet in the rear wall. The flap door (L) can be used as a work platform. This configuration combines protective gas connection with a thermocouple for temperature measurement. Controller B510 offers touch operation with five programs of four segments each; solid-state relays provide low-noise control, and NTLog Basic supports process-data recording on a USB flash drive. The furnace from manufacturer Nabertherm is offered as 1 pc for defined application within the operating instructions.

What is this article?

Muffle Furnace L9/13/B510 Tmax1300 with flap door protective gas connection and is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Nabertherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
