Description

Muffle furnace L9/13/C550 with flap door, protective gas connection and temperature option is a laboratory muffle furnace for maximum working temperatures up to 1300 °C. Freely radiating heating elements on support tubes provide particularly short heating times and favour long service life. Robust multi-layer lightweight refractory brick insulation enables the higher temperature class and makes the furnace an attractive alternative to L(T)./12 models when greater thermal headroom is needed. Energy is introduced from two sides. The dual-shell ventilated housing in textured stainless steel reduces outer surface temperature and increases stability. The flap door can be used as a work platform; an adjustable air inlet sits in the door and an exhaust outlet is fitted in the rear wall. A protective gas connection supports atmosphere control alongside the temperature-related equipment of this variant. Touch controller B510 offers five programs with four segments each, solid-state relays ensure low-noise operation, and NTLog Basic records process data on a USB flash drive. This configuration from manufacturer Nabertherm is supplied as one complete unit for defined laboratory use within the operating instructions.

This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Muffle Furnace L9/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and protective gas connection

What is this article?

Muffle Furnace L9/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and protective gas connection is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Nabertherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
