Description
Muffle furnace L9/13/C550 is a high-temperature laboratory furnace designed for a maximum working temperature of 1300 °C. Heating elements mounted on support tubes radiate freely into the chamber, delivering short heating times and a long service life, with heating from two sides. Robust multi-layer insulation using lightweight refractory bricks supports demanding thermal processes and positions this model as a higher-temperature alternative to the familiar L(T)./12 series. The dual-shell ventilated housing in textured stainless steel keeps outer surfaces cooler while maintaining mechanical stability. This configuration combines a flap door that can serve as a work platform with a protective gas connection for controlled atmosphere work. An adjustable air inlet in the door and an exhaust air outlet in the rear wall support practical airflow management. Process control is handled by the B510 touch controller with five programs of four segments each; solid-state relays enable low-noise operation, and NTLog Basic allows process data recording via USB flash drive. Supplied as 1 pc from manufacturer Nabertherm for defined laboratory applications within the operating instructions.
This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Muffle Furnace L9/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and protective gas connection,
What is this article?
Muffle Furnace L9/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and protective gas connection, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Nabertherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
