Description
Muffle furnace L9/13/C550 is a high-temperature laboratory muffle furnace rated for a maximum working temperature of 1300 °C. Freely radiating heating elements on support tubes deliver short heating times and extended element life inside the chamber. Robust lightweight refractory brick insulation in a multi-layer build enables this higher working range and offers a clear alternative to standard L(T)./12 models when greater application temperatures are required.
This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.
Energy is introduced from two sides. A dual-shell ventilated housing of textured stainless steel sheets keeps surface temperatures low and provides high mechanical stability. This variant combines a flap door, usable as a work platform, with a thermocouple feed-through. The door carries an adjustable air inlet; an exhaust air outlet is placed in the rear wall of the furnace. Control is via the B510 touch controller with 5 programs of 4 segments each, while solid state relays support low-noise operation. NTLog Basic allows process data recording with a USB flash drive. Intended use remains within the operating instructions for this unit from manufacturer Nabertherm, offered as one complete piece.

Questions about Muffle Furnace L9/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and thermocouple hole in the f
What is this article?
Muffle Furnace L9/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and thermocouple hole in the f is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Nabertherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
