Description

Nalgene™ dropping bottles are designed for accurate, reliable and repeatable dosing of a wide range of reagents. These opaque LDPE dropping bottles are especially suitable for light-sensitive solutions and provide an outstanding alternative to conventional pipettors. Each bottle has a capacity of 15 mL (0,015 l or 0,5 oz.) and is supplied with a dispensing tip together with colour-sorted closures. The closure type is a drop-control tip delivering a consistent drop size of 40 μl; closure sizes range from 15 to 415 mm, closures are included, and dispensing occurs through the closure. The round bottles are intended for use with Nalgene closures and are packed as a case of 25 pieces with a gross weight of 0,227 kg. Manufactured by Thermo Scientific, they support precise laboratory dispensing of light-sensitive reagents in research and routine analytical settings. The opaque LDPE material helps protect contents while remaining practical for everyday handling.

Questions about Nalgene™ Dropper Bottles

What is this article?

Nalgene™ Dropper Bottles is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Plastic bottles (narrow & wide mouth), inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

A plastic bottle is polyethylene, polypropylene or a fluoropolymer, narrow-mouth for pouring or wide-mouth for powders. It is the choice when the bottle must not shatter, and it is the wrong choice for solvents that swell the plastic.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
