Description
Nalgene™ Unwire™ test tube racks with Resmer™ manufacturing technology securely hold complete series of test tubes or centrifuge tubes. This rectangular model is configured for 16 mm tubes in a 6 × 12 array, giving 72 sample positions moulded from acetal plastic. Opening diameter is 16 mm, and overall dimensions are 24,9 × 12,7 × 6,7 cm (L × W × H), corresponding to approximately 248 × 127 × 70 mm width, depth and height. The rack is autoclavable, supporting repeated sterilisation cycles in routine laboratory workflows. Finished in red, the wire-free Unwire design keeps full test series stable during preparation, incubation, transport or bench storage. It is intended for use with 16 mm reagent tubes and centrifuge tubes and suits organisation of reaction vessels and sample sets in analytical and research settings. Supplied as a case of eight from manufacturer Thermo Scientific, the rack offers a compact footprint for high-position counts while remaining practical on crowded work surfaces. Gross weight per case is 1,700 kg. The Resmer™ construction delivers a durable acetal body suited to everyday handling of tube-based assays and centrifugation workflows.

Questions about Nalgene™ Unwire™ Test Tube Racks: Resmer™
What is this article?
Nalgene™ Unwire™ Test Tube Racks: Resmer™ is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Test tube racks, inside Stands, clamps & racks, in Labware.
A test-tube rack holds tubes upright in an order the operator can read back. The hole diameter and the number of places have to match the tubes. An autoclave-safe rack and a cardboard rack are not interchangeable once heat is involved.
A stand, a clamp and a rack hold something still so the hands can do the work. A bosshead locks a clamp to a rod. A test-tube rack keeps tubes upright and in an order the operator can read back. The failure is almost always mechanical: the clamp slips, or the rack does not match the tube diameter. The glass they support is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
