Description

ND9 short-thread vials with integrated 0,2 ml micro-insert are amber-glass autosampler vials measuring 32 × 11,6 mm, offered as 10 × 100 pieces. The short-thread geometry is intended as a universal vial format for common chromatographic autosamplers and is routinely used on systems such as Agilent, HTA, Shimadzu, Thermo Scientific, Varian and Waters. Thanks to this technical layout, laboratories can rationalise stocks that might otherwise mix separate 1,5 ml formats, including 11 mm crimp-neck vials and screw-neck vials 8-425 and 10-425. The built-in micro-insert supports work with limited sample volumes, while amber glass is suitable when light-sensitive solutions must be protected during storage and injection sequences. Catalogue cross-references list equivalent alternatives to selected Agilent, Waters, Chromacol, National Scientific, Wheaton and SUN/SRI International article numbers. Vials with integrated micro-insert are now also available in amber glass; related pre-assembled short-thread vials complete the range. These consumables from manufacturer Altmann Analytik ship in a bulk multipack suited to high-throughput sample preparation.

This article is part of Autosampler vials, in Vials, caps & septa.

What is this article?

ND9 Short Thread Vial w/ 0,2ml Micro-Insert, 32x11,6mm, amber glass, label lines is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Altmann Analytik for laboratory use. It sits in Autosampler vials, inside Vials, caps & septa, in Chromatography equipment.

An autosampler vial is sized for the tray it will sit in. Neck finish, volume, clear or amber glass, and whether an insert is needed are the choices. Amber is for light-sensitive samples. A 2 mL vial is the ordinary one. A vial from a different neck standard takes a different cap.

An autosampler vial is the small closed bottle a chromatograph picks up. The neck is crimp, screw or snap, and the cap and the septum have to be that neck. The septum is the part the needle pierces. A soft septum reseals. A septum that is wrong for the solvent swells or sheds particles into the sample. Inserts reduce the volume when the sample is scarce. The separation they feed is described with IUPAC names and PubChem data.
