Description

neochrom® full tear-off cap ND20 with colourless lacquered finish is a ready-assembled aluminium crimp closure for laboratory vials, fitted with a grey Butyl/PTFE septum at 50° Shore A. The septum is fully PTFE-coated and 3,0 mm thick, supporting dependable sealing from −40 °C to 120 °C. Supplied in packs of 100 pieces, these ND20 crimp caps suit chromatography, headspace and sample-storage workflows where a complete tear-off opening is needed for unrestricted access after sealing. The neck finish matches standard 20 mm crimp vials used throughout analytical and pharmaceutical laboratories. Full PTFE facing on the Butyl layer combines chemical resistance on the sample side with elastic contact against the glass rim, helping maintain a tight seal under routine handling. Pre-mounted closures from manufacturer neolab - Labor reduce bench preparation time and keep septum orientation consistent from vial to vial. They are well suited to GC and HPLC sample handling, QC aliquots and general laboratory sealing tasks that benefit from a clean full-aperture opening once the aluminium shell is removed, without separate septum assembly steps.

Questions about neochrom® complete tear-off cap ND20, colourless lacquered butyl/PTFE septum, 50° shore A

What is this article?

neochrom® complete tear-off cap ND20, colourless lacquered butyl/PTFE septum, 50° shore A is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes neolab for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
