Description

Red FEP-coated O-ring DN 150 is a laboratory sealing ring for flat-flange vessels. Built around an elastic silicone core that is seamlessly enclosed by an FEP jacket, it unites good elasticity with outstanding chemical resistance. Flat-flange vessels with a ring-groove ground joint incorporate an annular depression in the ground surface; this O-ring seats accurately in that groove and provides a tight seal. It is designed for the dense closure of flange vessels and is offered as one piece. Net weight is 0,016 kg and gross weight 0,022 kg. Available from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, the red O-ring is not suitable for desiccators. The continuous FEP mantle shields the silicone core while preserving the flexibility needed for repeated seating. Choose this accessory for plan-flange laboratory glassware and related flange assemblies where chemical resistance and a reliable ring-groove seal are essential for secure vessel closure in everyday laboratory practice.

Questions about O-Ring, red, FEP coated, not suitable for desiccators

What is this article?

O-Ring, red, FEP coated, not suitable for desiccators is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Lids & seals, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

Lids and seals are the covers of dishes, jars and tanks: a snap lid, a sealing film, a gasket. The seal is doing the work. A lid that only rests on the rim does not contain a volatile liquid.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
