Description

PE tubing, inner x outer Ø 3x5 mm, is a lightweight low-density polyethylene (LDPE) hose with a 3 mm inner diameter, 5 mm outer diameter and 1 mm wall thickness, supplied in a practical 10 m length with a net weight of 0,128 kg. Manufactured from high-quality polyethylene, it offers excellent resistance to non-oxidising acids, alkalis, salts and a wide range of solvents, while remaining dimensionally stable up to +80 °C and suitable for pressure applications where flexibility is less critical. The tubing is robust and abrasion-resistant for demanding duty, yet very light, with good transparency for visual flow control and strong odour and taste neutrality. PE tubing from manufacturer Bürkle is used across industry, food processing, chemicals, mechanical engineering, automotive, construction, beverage production, laboratory technology and compressed-air distribution for transporting liquids, air and lightly abrasive media in reliable, chemically resistant lines.

This article is part of PVC, PTFE & other tubing, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about PE hose, inner-x outer-Ø 3x5 mm, 10 m

What is this article?

PE hose, inner-x outer-Ø 3x5 mm, 10 m is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in PVC, PTFE & other tubing, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

PVC is the flexible everyday tube for water and mild aqueous liquids. PTFE is the stiff, almost inert tube for solvents. Other polymers sit between them. The bore, the wall and the chemical resistance are the specification, and the tube is cut to length.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
