Description
Precision balance EXP6201M is a modular laboratory precision balance of the Explorer Plus™ Precision EXP series, offering a maximum load of 6,2 kg and a readability of 0,0001 kg for routine and advanced weighing tasks. A robust digital high-speed full-block load cell is housed in metal, while motorised levelling and a detachable high-resolution 7-inch glass touchscreen with 16,7 million colours provide clear, adaptable control. The antistatic glass draft shield is removable with a hinged lid; LED sample illumination and status lights support individually adjustable colours. Two multifunctional sensors enable touch-free operation for fast, safe and clean handling, supported by integrated sensors for temperature, air pressure and humidity. Seventeen weighing applications and functions, including SQC and libraries, plus full GxP support covering user, data and ID management, system log protocols and minimum weight determination, suit regulated environments. AutoCal™ automatic internal adjustment, an integrated ioniser to reduce electrostatic effects, and interfaces including USB, RS232, Ethernet with optional WLAN or Bluetooth facilitate straightforward LIMS integration. Optional accessories such as density kits and protective covers extend functionality. This balance from manufacturer Ohaus is supplied as 1 pc, with net weight 5,5 kg and dimensions 229 mm width, 97 mm height and 408 mm depth.

Questions about Precision Balance EXP6201M
What is this article?
Precision Balance EXP6201M is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Ohaus for laboratory use. It sits in Precision balances, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A precision balance reads more coarsely than an analytical balance, often 1 mg or 10 mg, and it takes a heavier pan load. It is the balance for preparing bulk reagents. Draft, level and a warm-up still move the last digit.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
