Description

qpore® Bottle-Top Filter with cellulose acetate (CA) membrane is a sterile unit built for vacuum filtration of larger sample volumes directly into a sterile receiving bottle. The 0,45 µm CA membrane offers fast flow rates and very low protein binding, making it well suited to sterile filtration of cell culture media, microbiological media, buffer solutions and other biological liquids. Each filter combines a graduated upper section with a GL 45 screw closure and hose connector for convenient under-pressure use. A quick-connect fitting accepts hoses with an internal diameter of 8–12 mm. The products are sterile, pyrogen-free and free from detergents, and feature blue colour coding for rapid visual identification. From manufacturer neolab - Labor, the bottle-top filters are supplied individually sterile packed in packs of 24; packaging includes an integrated tear-open aid so no extra tools are required. These CA bottle-top filters enable efficient, low-binding sterile media handling in cell-culture and microbiology workflows.

What is this article?

qpore® Bottle-Top-Filter aus CA, steril, 0.45 µm, 500 ml, 24 Stk/Pack is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes neolab for laboratory use. It sits in Bottle-top & vacuum filtration units, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A bottle-top filter or a vacuum filtration unit sits on a bottle and pulls a liquid through a membrane under vacuum. Pore size and membrane are the same choice as a syringe filter, at a larger area. A sterile unit is a stated claim. The bottle neck has to match.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
