Description
qpore® transfer membrane made of cellulose nitrate (CN) with a pore size of 0,45 µm is supplied as a 300 × 3000 mm roll for routine blotting work in the molecular biology laboratory. The membrane is 100 % pure CN and free from foreign substances, supporting background-free blots with well-defined bands. A pore size of 0,45 µm is the general laboratory standard and suits most applications involving proteins or nucleic acids larger than 20 kDa. High protein-binding capacity helps prevent blow-through during transfer and enables detection of even very small protein amounts. Typical membrane thickness is approximately 150 µm ± 10 µm, with a protein binding capacity of about 125 µg/cm² and a maximum working temperature of 356 °C. Primary applications include Western blotting, Northern blotting, Southern blotting, and protein and immunoblotting. Manufactured under high quality standards from selected raw materials by neolab - Labor, this qpore® CN roll offers a practical continuous format for cutting custom sheet sizes. Pack size is 3 m.

Questions about qpore® Transfermembran aus CN, 0.45 µm, 300 x 3000 mm Rolle
What is this article?
qpore® Transfermembran aus CN, 0.45 µm, 300 x 3000 mm Rolle is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes neolab for laboratory use. It sits in Membrane filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.
A membrane filter is the disc itself, without a syringe housing. Pore size, polymer and diameter are the specification, and the disc has to sit in a holder. Gridded membranes are for counting colonies. A membrane and a filter paper of the same diameter are not interchangeable.
Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
