Description

Rotilabo® PTFE reducers are ground-joint adapters that connect laboratory glassware of different standard joint sizes in distillation, extraction and general assembly work. This reducer combines a cone NS 14/23 with a socket NS 19/26, allowing a smaller joint to mate cleanly with a larger NS 19/26 opening. Made from PTFE, the component benefits from the chemical resistance and low surface energy typical of fluoropolymer joint parts, which is useful when glass-to-glass contact or aggressive media must be considered. Supplied as a single unit with a low weight of 0,012 kg, it is easy to integrate into modular setups without adding bulk. The Rotilabo® reducer from manufacturer ROTH SELECTION belongs to components with ground glass joints used in distillation and extraction apparatus. Precise NS sizing supports reproducible assembly of condensers, flasks and intermediate pieces. Laboratories building or adapting multi-joint trains can use this PTFE reducer to bridge NS 14/23 and NS 19/26 interfaces while maintaining a compact, chemically robust connection.

Questions about Rotilabo®-PTFE-reducers, cone NS 14/23, socket NS 19/26, 1 unit(s)

What is this article?

Rotilabo®-PTFE-reducers, cone NS 14/23, socket NS 19/26, 1 unit(s) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
