Description
SteriPlast® scoop is a sterile disposable sampling scoop made from high-quality white polystyrene (PS), with a transparent lid and a nominal volume of 500 ml (0,5 l). At 283 mm in length, it is designed for sensitive sampling of powders, granules and pastes. Each scoop is manufactured, assembled and individually packaged under ISO Class 7 cleanroom conditions and then sterilised by gamma irradiation to meet demanding purity requirements. The transparent lid keeps the sampling zone protected from airborne particles, dust and other contaminants even after removal from the outer packaging; after sampling the scoop can be closed again at once so the sample remains secured without contamination. The lid also reduces loss or spillage and supports safer transport and storage while helping to preserve physical and chemical sample properties by limiting exposure to air and moisture. An ergonomic shape and a gently rising front edge allow easy handling and set-down without sample loss. The single-use concept from manufacturer Bürkle eliminates cleaning and re-sterilisation, saves time and resources, and excludes cross-contamination between samples or products. Individually packaged units stay sterile until use and suit quality control, research and production in pharmaceutical, food-technology, biotechnology and other laboratories where contamination control is essential. Supplied in packs of 10 pieces.

Questions about Scoop SteriPlast, PS, sterile, 500 ml, with cover
What is this article?
Scoop SteriPlast, PS, sterile, 500 ml, with cover is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Spatulas & spoons, inside Tools & accessories, in Labware.
A spatula or spoon transfers a powder without pouring the whole bottle. The blade width and the material, steel or plastic or nickel, decide whether the tool contaminates the sample it touches.
The small tools of the bench are what the hand actually holds: a spatula for a powder, forceps for an object that must stay clean, a brush for a narrow neck, a desiccator when a dried sample must not take up water again. None of these reads a measurement. They keep the measurement possible. The apparatus around them is listed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
