Description

SenTix® 43 is a plastic-body pH electrode with gel electrolyte and an integrated Pt 1000 temperature sensor for simultaneous pH and temperature measurement. The electrode is fitted with a waterproof DIN plug and a banana plug on a 1 m cable, enabling straightforward connection to compatible meters in laboratory and process environments. Gel electrolyte reduces maintenance compared with refillable systems and supports stable readings across routine aqueous samples. The robust plastic shaft is practical for daily use in quality control, environmental analysis and general laboratory work. Offered as a single unit from manufacturer WTW – a Xylem brand, the SenTix® 43 combines pH sensing and temperature compensation in one compact probe. Net weight is approximately 0,15 kg, making it easy to handle at the bench or in portable setups. Suitable wherever reliable combination pH measurement with built-in temperature sensing is required.

Questions about SenTix® 43, Plastic pH electrode with gel electrolyte, integrated Pt 1000 temper

What is this article?

SenTix® 43, Plastic pH electrode with gel electrolyte, integrated Pt 1000 temper is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes WTW - a Xylem brand for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
