Description
TorqueMaster sieve tensioning for dry sieving is designed for use with analysis sieves of 200 mm/8'' diameter and delivers automatic, reproducible clamping of the sieve stack on the sieving machine. The system comprises a Plexiglas sieve clamping lid suitable for both 200 mm Ø and 8'' Ø analysis sieves together with a high-quality electric tool rated for 230 V/1~, 50 Hz operation within the 100–240 V range. Although clamping force exerts a decisive influence on sieving results, conventional tensioning methods leave this parameter relatively undefined. TorqueMaster from manufacturer Fritsch applies constant, reproducible clamping forces to the sieve tower and, for the first time, permits calibration of the sieve tensioning as part of ISO 9001 test-equipment monitoring. The unit can be mounted on any sieving machine, not only Fritsch instruments, making it a universal solution for laboratories seeking defined and traceable sieve-stack tension. Net weight is 2,0 kg and the article is supplied as a complete single-piece assembly ready for installation.
This article is part of Test sieves (wire mesh), in Test sieves & mills.

Questions about sieve tensioning Torque Master dry sieving 200mm/8''
What is this article?
sieve tensioning Torque Master dry sieving 200mm/8'' is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Fritsch for laboratory use. It sits in Test sieves (wire mesh), inside Test sieves & mills, in Lab instruments.
A wire-mesh test sieve sorts particles through a woven opening of a stated nominal size. The frame diameter and the mesh are the specification. A sieve without a certificate is a screen, not a measurement.
A test sieve sorts particles by whether they pass an opening. Wire mesh and perforated plate are two ways of making that opening, and the nominal size is not a suggestion. A sieve shaker repeats the motion so the result does not depend on how hard someone shook by hand. A mill or grinder makes the particles smaller before they are sieved. The certificate of the sieve, and the opening size, are what an audit asks for. Measurement practice around mass and dimension sits with the BIPM, EURAMET and BELAC.
