Smart-Vue™ 868 MHz wireless radio module with dry contact input is a laboratory monitoring component designed to protect sample quality and support regulatory compliance through continuous wireless surveillance of critical equipment. This module forms part of the Smart-Vue wireless monitoring solution, providing 24/7 monitoring and reporting with immediate remote alarm notification and continuous data collection. It permanently records readings, alarms and user acknowledgments, helping safeguard precious samples while supporting audit-trail traceability for conformance to 21 CFR Part 11, cGxP and related SOP requirements. The system can monitor temperatures from −200 °C to +350 °C, CO2 concentration, relative humidity, differential pressure, 4–20 mA signals and dry-contact state. Supplied as a ready-to-install package from manufacturer Thermo Scientific, the unit includes the radio module, a 3,6 V lithium battery, mounting holder with Velcro, magnet and hardware, plus a customer reference letter. It is not calibrated and is intended for any laboratory equipment fitted with dry alarm contacts. Installation requires no complicated wiring, so equipment can be relocated easily. Data remain accessible via Smart-Vue client software for export to common office formats, making the module suitable for refrigerators, freezers, LN2 storage, CO2 incubators, clean rooms, storage areas and ovens in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, IVF, clinical and diagnostic settings.
