Description
SONOREX smart ST 170 H is a high-performance ultrasonic cleaner with integrated heating for use in practices, laboratories and workshops. The robust bath cleans thoroughly yet gently through intense cavitation bubbles that also reach poorly accessible areas of the items being cleaned. Tank capacity is 39,0 l with internal dimensions of 1000 × 200 × 200 mm. An intuitive touchscreen supports simple setting and monitoring of ultrasonic power, cleaning duration and temperature; sonication intervals and temperature limits can be defined, while internal programme memory enables secure reproducibility of validated sample-preparation processes. Fully automatic SweepTec prevents standing waves in the ultrasonic field and delivers especially uniform cleaning. The Degas function, activatable at the start of a cycle, further strengthens the ultrasonic cleaning effect. Nominal power is 380 W, ultrasonic peak power 1520 W and heating power 1600 W. Drainage is provided by a ball valve G ½ with a 50 cm hose on the left side. Matching baskets, lids and cleaning and disinfection concentrates are available as accessories. This Bandelin unit is supplied in the Swiss-plug configuration; net weight is 26,5 kg.

What is this article?
SONOREX DIGIPLUS DL 514 BH Ultrasonic bath with heating, Capacity/Volume: 18,7 l is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bandelin for laboratory use. It sits in Ultrasonic baths & cleaners, inside Ultrasonic baths & lab washers, in Lab instruments.
An ultrasonic cleaner drops parts into a bath where collapsing bubbles scrub joints and bores. Tank volume and ultrasonic power are the ratings. A basket keeps items off the tank floor, where the transducers are. The liquid is usually water plus a cleaning concentrate, not a strong solvent, unless the tank is rated for it.
An ultrasonic bath cleans by cavitation: the sound collapses tiny bubbles against the surface and lifts soil out of joints a brush cannot reach. The chemistry of the bath liquid still matters. A laboratory glassware washer is the machine that replaces hand washing when the load is large or the result has to be repeatable. Rinse water quality decides whether the glass comes out spotted. The ware being washed is listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
