Description
Coplin staining trough made of soda-lime glass measures 108 × Ø 66 mm and is intended for manual staining of microscope slides. Thick glass walls and a broad base confer high stability during use. The vessel can be covered with a lid while staining is in progress, thereby reducing solvent loss through spillage or evaporation. Its square, short-body design saves both bench space and staining solution. Up to ten standard slides measuring 76 × 26 mm can be processed simultaneously. Suitable for staining histological and cytological specimens as well as other manual staining protocols in microscopy. Manufactured from soda-lime glass by Duran/DWK Life Sciences under the DURAN® brand, the trough offers reliable performance for routine laboratory work. Net weight is 0,362 kg. Ideal for histology, cytology and general microscopy laboratories requiring compact, stable glassware for slide staining.

Questions about Staining Jar Coplin Type, from Soda-lime Glass
What is this article?
Staining Jar Coplin Type, from Soda-lime Glass is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.
A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.
A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
