STAMMOPUR RD 5 instrument cleaner is an alkaline concentrate for removing processing residues from tools, workpieces and medical devices in dental laboratory manufacture and finishing. It is particularly suited to stubborn, dried-on contamination from blood, secretions, sputum and tissue residues, and also removes waxes as well as polishing and grinding residues from dental restorations such as crowns, implants and prostheses and from machining tools. Use is intended in ultrasonic baths and immersion baths for technical cleaning in the dental laboratory and for manual cleaning and pre-cleaning of dental, surgical, invasive and non-invasive instruments, accessories and device components in practice, clinic, oral surgery and orthodontics. Material compatibility is very high for stainless steel, instrument steel, titanium, glass, porcelain, ceramic and plastics; it is not suitable for aluminium or alkali-sensitive materials such as copper, brass, tin and zinc. Dilution is typically 3 % with ultrasound (3–10 minutes) or 5 % without ultrasound (up to 60 minutes depending on soiling). Fresh blood and protein soils are treated cold; stubborn soils may be warmed up to 60 °C. The concentrate from manufacturer Bandelin is diluted with water of at least drinking-water quality; no additives may be mixed in. Optics, light guides and bonded parts must not be sonicated. Pack content is 10,0 litres.
