Description

SX630 Pocket ORP Meter is a compact handheld instrument designed for reliable determination of oxidation-reduction potential (ORP). It covers a measurement range of −1999 mV to +1999 mV with a resolution of ±1 mV and an accuracy of ±0,2 % F.S. The slim, replaceable platinum electrode is especially suited to narrow vessels such as test tubes, enabling convenient measurements in limited sample volumes. A waterproof housing rated IP57 protects the unit during routine laboratory or field use. The complete set from manufacturer APERA Instruments includes the meter, 222 mV standard solution, 3 M KCl storage solution, two CR2032 batteries and a compact carrying case. Device dimensions are 148 × 29 × 14 mm (165 × 95 × 28 mm with case) and the weight is 49 g (160 g with case). Intelligent design and the exchangeable electrode make the SX630 a practical choice for redox measurements across research, quality control and educational applications. A two-year manufacturer warranty applies to the instrument (six months on the electrode).

Questions about SX630 ORP Pen Tester

What is this article?

SX630 ORP Pen Tester is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Dissolved oxygen & multiparameter meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A dissolved-oxygen meter reads oxygen in a liquid, optically or with a Clark cell. A multiparameter meter adds pH, conductivity or both on one instrument. The sensor cap or the membrane is the consumable. A reading in air and a reading in water are different calibrations.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
