Description

SX711 Portable pH Meter Set in Case is a cost-effective handheld pH instrument for industrial, mining, power-generation, wastewater and environmental applications, especially field and on-site work. An integrated microprocessor supports automatic calibration, automatic temperature compensation, data storage, parameter setup, self-diagnosis, auto power-off and low-battery indication. The meter recognises 13 standard pH buffer types across European/American, NIST and Chinese series and offers dedicated modes for pure water and ammonia-pure water. pH range is −2,00 to 19,99 with resolution 0,1/0,01 and accuracy ±0,01 ±1 digit; automatic 1- to 3-point calibration and an 8-pin electrode connector are provided. mV range is ±1999 mV; temperature range 0 to 100 °C with 0,1 °C resolution. Up to 200 data groups can be stored. The IP57-rated housing measures 65 × 120 × 31 mm and weighs 180 g (790 g with case). Powered by two AA batteries, the set from manufacturer APERA Instruments includes the SX711 meter, 201T-S pH electrode, pH 4,00/7,00/10,01 calibration solutions (50 ml each) and a carrying case.

Questions about SX711, Portable pH Meter Kit

What is this article?

SX711, Portable pH Meter Kit is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH meter reads the electrode and displays pH, after calibration with at least two buffers. A meter that cannot be calibrated is a voltmeter. Resolution to 0.001 is not the same as accuracy. Portable and benchtop meters differ in the electrodes they accept and in the data they store.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
